How did your awesome business come to be?
After being a stay at home mom for 13 years I was ready to do something for myself, I dabbled in a few MLM companies to keep me happy for a little while. One day I saw these adorable clutches that an acquaintance was making. I reached out to see if she wanted to go into business together and she said No thank you and I decided not to pursue it further because I couldn't do it without her. A few weeks later I woke up and decided I could do it without her and here we are a little over a year later and we have added a fun line of women's clothing.
Who inspired you to pursue entrepreneurship?
My amazing serial entrepreneur Dad.
Have you ever had a mentor? And how did they help you?
A few, but Hilary has made the most impact on my business. She gave me just the perfect little nudge I needed, someone who believed in me.
How do you define success for yourself?
Success for me is the confidence to know that I deserve all that I have worked for.
What is a recent success that you're super proud of accomplishing?
Winning the Cohort 9 Pitch Contest for Dalton and Sur.
What is your superpower?
Wish it was Hyper Organized but I will say Perseverance.
What is the least sexy part of your job?
What do you hope to learn from this community of your peers (ie. Hatch Tribe Members Circle)?
I have already learned so much from this amazing Tribe already. One thing I still struggle with is how to juggle it all. That it is OK to put myself and my work before family and laundry sometimes, really hard when coming from being a stay at home mom of 3. The permission to be happy that I am enjoying my work.
