What's your favorite podcast or YouTube channel?
I really enjoy a lot of Ted Talks.

Favorite place to getaway from it all?
The tennis court is truly my happy place.

If you could get an extra hour today, how would you use it?
I need more than one... I'd call my parents….

What's your favorite food?
I love all food—salty, sweet, savory—you name it!  But Ben & Jerry's has a soft spot in my heart.

How did your awesome business come to be?
WOW!  My business started out of necessity. It was a side hustle for 20 + years.  Then one day I was running a DMC (Destination Management Company) for a large group based in Memphis. They decided to redirect their vision a bit and out of the blue shut down their operations here in SC, so Voila. Spread your wings and fly little bird. They are very supportive along with clients and staff who joined me and we really took off from there to build the corporate side of the business.

Who inspired you to pursue entrepreneurship?
Really it was something  I always wanted to do but was too scared to fail.  Then when it just happened I decided - now or never.  I have trusted God and really just built on my background and pure chutzpa!

I'm on a mission to...
Save the World and pay the electric bill! Seriously, I just want to spread happiness and find the good in each day.

Have you ever had a mentor? If so, how did they help you?
My biggest mentor came through my first job in retail just out of college. She overcame so many obstacles — she taught me to be brave, strive for consistency, and that you can really overcome a lot of mistakes if you simply do not give up.

How do you define success for yourself?
Success for me is respect for myself, respect from others, and being able to have something in the bank when all the bills are paid. :)

We all love failure & flop stories! Tell us about something you tried in business that didn't work, and how you moved beyond it.
I am in a current fail right now…in that I inherently think I can do it all by myself (I am a terrible delegator),specifically in the area of social media.  I have best intentions of keeping all those sites current, writing a blog and conquering the social media platforms that will make me stand out as a leader and professional with a twist of Southern Gentile Style. Talk about what I would do with another hour in the day! So, I am now on the hunt for someone to handle that part of my business - someone that can keep my brand consistent (there's that word again) and help me stand out or stand up or simply stand on my own. I welcome anyone to make contact.

What is a recent success that you're super proud of accomplishing?
I am really proud that I still have my very first client that I had when I " flew the coop".  They have been super supportive and I could not be more proud to keep my creative juice flowing enough to keep it fresh, my logistics mind sharp enough to stay focused, and my compassionate self grounded enough to remain sentimental allowing me to keep a soft personal caring side to each opportunity.

What is your superpower?
I can stay calm and easily find quick solutions to almost any situation.

What is the least sexy part of your job?
Taxes. I HATE taxes....

What do you hope to learn from your community of peers inside the Hatch Tribe Members Circle?
I hope to find support and new resources for a smarter work arena.
