Let’s raise a glass with our fellow female founders!
Join us Thursday, September 12th at Smith Spencer for our favorite after hours affair, the Sunset Social. Connect with other amazing female entrepreneurs over a cocktail + light bites, while hearing from two of brilliant local entrepreneurs, Stacy Smith & Erin Spencer.
Stacy Smith had worked in real estate for years and she instantly saw talent in her former high school and college friend, Erin Spencer, at her former firm. Erin relieved Stacy’s team of unnecessary work, took careful control of company accounting and finances and became a leader, advising the firm’s principals in all business decisions.
So when the time came for Stacy to create a business of her own, Erin was the obvious co-pilot. Trust, respect, and open communication are the core values of their partnership and team.
We’ll share an inspiring conversation with Stacy & Erin about entrepreneurship, partnership, growing their business and team, and more with plenty of time for Q&A!
ABOUT STACY SMITH
Stacy happened into a career in Real Estate over a decade ago when she was hired as an assistant at Daniel Island Real Estate. There, she gained experience helping buyers relocate to Charleston and selling luxury properties. Confident and ambitious, she didn’t last long as an assistant, and she and her partner became the top team at DIRE and consistently one of the the top producers in Charleston.
Her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit led to a position as President and Managing Broker of HJP, a small locally owned Brokerage and Property Management company where she was responsible for driving Property Management and sales volume up more than tenfold in just four years.
Stacy believes that it is vital for Realtors to develop a personal niche and execute their craft with expertise and finesse. Using this fundamental approach ensures that each client and their transaction receives optimal attention. With this in mind, she had the vision to partner with longtime friend and colleague Erin Spencer.
ABOUT ERIN SPENCER
Erin fell in love with Charleston within minutes of a College of Charleston campus tour and never gave thought to living anywhere else. Following her 2005 graduation, she took a job as the Social and Marketing Director at The Country Club of Charleston where budgeting and operational planning became ingrained proficiencies. After five years at CCC, she was recruited by a local energy technology company, where she headed up Communication and Market Development for the next three years.
In 2013 she started her own project management business, assisting clients with their marketing and bookkeeping needs. Stacy’s former firm hired Erin where she took careful control of company accounting and finances and became a leader, advising the firm’s principals in all business decisions.
Having a background in both accounting and marketing, Erin sees each transaction from a different viewpoint than most salespeople. With a network that runs deep and wide in the Charleston area, she thrives on procuring off-market deals for her clients.
