What is your business and how did it come to be? be well is a clean and natural superfood skincare line. Each recipe was created by me. Successfully reversing my Multiple Sclerosis after being diagnosed in 2014 (bypassing all conventional drugs) I quickly learned the power of superfoods and probiotics. While on my clean living journey of healing I discovered that our skin, which is our largest organ, has its own biome! I take my skincare as seriously as I do the food and lifestyle. After discovering the importance of probiotics in gut health, and the role superfoods play in cellular health, creating products that were packed with these essential properties was a natural next step for me. And from there be well was born

What’s the hardest thing about being your own boss? Not working on my business.

What’s the best part about being your own boss? Full freedom of scheduling, partnerships, direction, business decisions etc.

How do you balance your personal life with your business? Both my personal and business life feed each other, they are not mutually exclusive, all by design.

How do you take care of your mind, body, and spirit?  I intertwine my personal life and my business, I can balance all of this. Compartmentalizing things is key. Giving priority to those items that need attention first. If I need to rest I rest. If I need to work I work. Specific times and days do not dictate my schedule. I rely greatly on listening to my body and business and going with the flow, always giving space to pivot quickly while staying organized enough to get all the things done.

How do you keep yourself accountable? I have the opposite mindset, and my husband/biz partner helps me keep this in check. Knowing when to turn it off is just as important as when to turn it on.

How do you handle those moments of self-doubt and fear? I don't think I will ever not have self-doubt or fear, I am an entrepreneur and I feed off of those feelings.

How has a so-called failure actually set you up for future success? My life is packed with wonderful failures and is the cause/catalyst to all my success.

What resources do you love that you think other business owners should know about? Key resource for me every time I go to the next level is having a mentor. Get yourself one.

What book or podcast are you digging right now? I rarely read books or listen to podcasts as it clouds my own intuition, creativity, and business instincts.

Who is one woman you admire and what you do you adore about her? Rose Marie Swift from rmsBeauty. She says what she wants, does what she believes is right and doesn't let the chatter stop her.

What is one quote or motto you live by? Being true to myself and my beliefs.

What does the world need more of? TRUTH

What is the best advice you’ve ever received as a business owner? Don't wait until things are perfect. Not all hires should be "A's", you need "B's & C's". Get a whiteboard. Get a bigger whiteboard. Use them. Hire people smarter than you when needed.
